Huawei Becomes Mobily’s Supplier

Chinese communications equipment manufacturer Huawei will provide high capacity and bandwidth solutions to Saudi Arabian mobile operator Mobily to support the latter’s High Speed Downlink Packet Access network.

Huawei said that it had been chosen by Mobily as a Packet Switched Core Network) supplier to help the latter deploy its HSDPA network. Huawei said that after the completion of the project, Saudi Arabia’s PS-CN would be able to undertake the transmission of maximum level of data flow from any network.

In addition, the integrated framework of Huawei’s solution will be applied to Mobily’s existing 2G service and offer support to its upcoming data network so as to help it improve its network.

Owning 7 million users, Mobily is the second largest mobile operator in Saudi Arabia.
